In 2009, I volunteered for an NGO called Prime Trust, based in Pondicherry in South India. As well as carrying out activities in women’s empowerment and social awareness, Prime Trust also runs a child sponsorship programme.
I know that many people cannot afford
to pay £15 or $24 per month for child sponsorship. BUT, if we can get 1,000 people to donate £1.50 or $2.40 each, we can cover a child's private education, tuition and school supplies for 10 years!
