Why are we doing this project?
We are aiding a Veteran owned business with their goal of employing veterans in need of work.
We're working with a small company in Lantana, Florida - MMATextiles, whose motto is: " Made in America by American Veterans"

The owner of this company, Dave Pate is dedicated to helping his fellow veterans to learn a skill and earn a living after they return from service to our country. Right now, Dave's company MMATextiles is experiencing growth which cannot be supported by the monthly cash flow. Dave has put all his money into the company and it has now reached a stage where their monthly order volume exceeds the capacity of the staff and current sewing facilities. David contacted Balanced Fundraising for help a few weeks ago and we have determined the following.
* The company has order backlogs of about 5,000 to 10,000 garments per month.
* This is causing Dave to give the over-flow work to contract sewing shops which do not employ veterans.
* The company was founded upon the principle of employing veterans!
* The company profits would be greater if they could hire more veterans.
* The company needs about 30 additional employees to meet the current demand.
* In order to expand, the company is in need of about $150,000 in additional funds.
* The funds will be used to acquire 30 machines and the tables and other equipment needed to employ 30 more veterans.
* The funds will be used to pay for training the new workers.
* The funds will help employ veterans and build a self sustaining business which will be capable of growing organically.
