It's been over 2 years since Jory Nash released the award-winning CD "New Blue Day". People keep asking me when the next album is coming out. I've got a whole new batch of songs written and I'm itching to get into a recording studio to make the next album. However...
The economics of the independent musical world are rapidly changing. Grant support from all levels of government is down sharply; CD sales are decreasing...yet the costs of making records is still high. The solution?
Crowdfunding!! This unique, grassroots method of fundraising allows artists and their fans to co-invest in the production of a recording. Instead of having the artist absorb all the costs up front of making an album, fans are encouraged to "pre-buy" copies and the money raised helps the artist complete the project on time.
So please consider helping me fund the production of my new CD. There are different levels of support you can choose from, with different levels of "reward". They are:
$10: You will get a downloadable MP3 copy of the new album weeks before it is commercially available.
$20: You will receive one (1) copy of the new CD in the mail, weeks before it is commercially available
$50: You will receive two (2) copies of the new CD, plus one download of any older Jory Nash album.
$100: You will receive four (4) copies of the new CD, plus one older Jory Nash CD of your choice.
$200: Same as above PLUS your name will appear in the liner notes in the Thank You section.
$500: Same as above PLUS Jory Nash will come to your home and perform a house concert for you and up to 50 friends. (Canada only; must be within a 5 hour driving radius of Toronto)
$1000: Same as above except the house concert can be anywhere in Ontario
$1250: Same as above except the house concert can be anywhere in Canada
$1500 and up: Same as above PLUS you will receive an extra 10 copies of the new CD AND your name will appear in the liner notes as an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER of the project.
